| Description: | The Education and Training Director develops and implements the union's education and training programs for worksite leaders and field staff and coordinates other special projects of the local union.

| Qualifications: | - Three years of experience as a Field Representative/Worksite Organizer. Equivalent experience and/or training may be substituted for experience as a Field Representative/Worksite Organizer. Experience should include significant education/training component. - High level ability to communicate orally and in writing. - Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. - Basic knowledge of training subject matter including organizing techniques, contract negotiations, meet and confer, grievance handling, private and public sector employment law. - Familiarity with variety of popular education techniques. - Ability to teach and mentor others to train. - Well-organized, with the ability to coordinate an entire training program involving many members and staff participating in several trainings each month. - Dedication to improving the lot of workers, and willingness to participate in a wide range of activities toward that objective. - Willingness to work long and irregular hours, often including evenings and weekends. |
| Compensation: | - Yearly salary range beginning at $63,995.02 through $72,836.52. - Employer-paid retirement plan. - Fully paid health insurance for worker and dependants (including domestic partner). - Liberal vacation and sick leave. - Life insurance, dental, and vision care. - Pleasant atmosphere and great coworkers. |
