Local 1107 is the fastest growing union in the state, representing more than 17,500 healthcare and public seervice employees in Reno, Elko and Las Vegas. The Local is supported be an experienced professional staff.

It is the Executive Directors duty to administer the affairs of the Local and to implement the policies established by the Executive Board and the membership of the Local on a day to day basis.

The ideal candidate will have knowlege of the principles and procedures of business management, finance, budgeting, problem solving, management techniques and supervision. Field experience with labor organization and knowledge of the collective bargaining process. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws regarding public employees, and union political activities. Excellent research, written and oral communication skills. Abilitiy to work under pressure, meet deadlines and respond to new and changing conditions.

Bachelor's degree in labor relations, public or business administration or related fields or equivalent experience of two years or more.

Compensation is based on experience and includes a generous vacation and benefit package.
