US Chamber's Death-By-Waiting Strategy on Health Care

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has a clear strategy in the fight for heath care reform: delay, delay, delay.

In a new ad released this week, the U.S. Chamber showed its true colors with the improbable claim that health insurance reform is moving "too fast."

Media Matters reports:

On September 1, 2009, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced the release of a new anti-health care reform ad titled "The Fast Sale." The ad asserts that congressional efforts to reform America's health care delivery system is happening quickly in order to hide the truth about reform from American citizens. However, since Congress and President Obama have been working on health care reform since January, nine months is hardly moving too fast.

Forget the fact that this has been the primary focus of Congress for months. It's been the primary concern of the American people for years. Decades, even.

The U.S. Chamber thinks that it can still try to kill health care reform by calling for delays. Let's make sure that doesn't happen. It's time to pass health care reform now.
