New SEIU Online Ads Aimed to Engage Healthcare Voters

Six-figure digital campaign urges Pennsylvanians who care about Medicaid and Medicare to vote for Conor Lamb

WASHINGTON—SEIU Healthcare, the largest union of healthcare workers in North America with approximately one million members, including 45,000 across Pennsylvania, today launched a six-figure digital ad campaign that calls upon Pennsylvanians to vote for Congressional candidate Conor Lamb (D) in the March 13th special election for the state’s 18th district. Lamb is committed to protect Pennsylvanians’ healthcare.

Lamb’s opponent Rick Saccone —along with Republicans in Congress— will push an agenda to rip Medicaid and healthcare from approximately 371,000 Pennsylvanians, all to benefit corporate interests and America’s wealthy. However, Lamb’s key healthcare priorities are to make it affordable, and to protect Medicaid and Medicare.

Since December 2016, SEIU’s members across the nation have marched, protested, called and visited members of Congress, and spoken out to protect Medicaid and healthcare for all Americans. SEIU’s digital ads ask Pennsylvanians — working families, seniors, and people with disabilities —who know the importance of protecting Medicare and Medicaid to vote for Lamb on March 13th.

The March 13th election will fill the seat that was previously occupied by Tim Murphy (R), who announced his resignation in October 2017.
