Nurses, Hospital Workers at Six Florida Hospitals Approve Breakthrough Contract Agreements
Registered Nurses, technical, professional, clerical, service and other hospital employees united in the SEIU Florida Healthcare Union have voted overwhelmingly to approve first contract agreements with six Florida hospitals affiliated with HCA, a hospital company based in Tennessee.
The contract covers 4,000 hospital employees, including 1,400 Registered Nurses at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton; Columbia Hospital, West Palm Beach; Kendall Regional Medical Center, Miami; Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg; St. Petersburg General Hospital; and University Hospital and Medical Center, Tamarac.
