Here's how the competition will work.

Interested SEIU members will create art that speaks to the existential issues that are causing members to take action in this election (voting, volunteering on campaigns, supporting the union's direct actions at City Halls and State Capitals).

We're envisioning these pieces to show what the future could look like when working people take collective action across race and space, build power politically and solve the challenges working families are facing.

There will be three categories of art where members will be able to submit their work:

  • Visual Art This is photography, painting, digital design, sculpture, etc.
  • Music and Dance Original pieces of music, lyrics, melodies and movement that tell compelling stories. Lyrics and music in all styles and all languages are welcome!
  • Spoken Word Poetry of all kinds.
