SEIU's Anna Burger has a piece in the Huffington Post today, making the point that the Employee Free Choice Act is key to any economic recovery program:

Workers in unions earn 30 percent higher wages, are 59 percent more likely to have employer-based health coverage, and four times more likely to have pension benefits. Passage of the Employee Free Choice Act will help end the wage gap, reform our health care system and provide retirement security for America's hard working men and women.

In addition, she notes that yesterday Barack Obama reiterated his support for the Employee Free Choice Act. He has already helped lead the fight for the Employee Free Choice Act in the Senate, and he's promised to sign the bill as President. Check out this video showing his leadership on the issue and then sign our petition to join Barack Obama in supporting it.

More than ever, we need the Employee Free Choice Act.
