Today is the day. At 12:15 today, Congress will officially introduce the Employee Free Choice Act. This much-needed bill will help our country's economic recovery and help restore the middle class.
The Senate holds its first hearing on the bill this morning, in which workers, economists, and nonprofit leaders will tell Members of Congress why they support the Employee Free Choice Act.

I'm all for the Employee Free Choice Act and have written to all of my political representatives in Congress and President Obama.
You did bring up a good point about he differences in pay, but as the President of the SEIU how much more is your salary and bonuses compared to the rank and file members you represent?
How about you publish at Huffington Post the salaries and bonuses you and the other 'executives' in you organization make.
Even though I support the bill I feel you and the other union leaders are making out like bandits while you members get scraps!
How about card check to get out of the Union. That seems only fair. Or is it that it would hurt the union?
Out in California thousands of SEIU members have signed to disassociate from the SEIU, but Stern says no way. How democratic is that?
I guess SEIU only cares about one thing, not being fair and democratic, but the $$$$.
It is time that the rank and file members wake up and realize that SEIU has some major problems and they won't be addresses until the leadership is gone.
