Take Back the Economy Actions: Arrests at Peaceful Protest in Rhode Island

We got word that our peaceful protest for TakeBackTheEconomy.org in Rhode Island was stopped by police with 8 14 arrests. The Providence Journal reported that 100 people were at that action, including former workers at a bankrupt plant that closed in January without notice. The former employees were demanding their owed pay and benefits while the bankrupt company's property was auctioned off.

That'll show those greedy workers!

We spotted on Twitter this morning that police were ready & waiting for our action. The Providence Journal has video of the protest and the arrests. And just who were these scary lawbreakers? Here's a photo from the Providence Journal:

When a failed company owned by foreign banks goes belly up, it's somehow the workers who get arrested in the streets, and not anyone else. Something is wrong with this picture.

We'll have more on what happened from Rhode Island as we get it. If you see any more scary old ladies, WATCH OUT, bankers!
