Within hours of being sworn in as Minnesota's 2nd senator, Senator Al Franken
took action on his first bill: he co-sponsored the
Employee Free Choice Act.
"I just became a cosponsor of my first bill in the Senate, the Employee Free Choice Act," the Minnesota Democrat declared at a gathering at the AFL-CIO on Tuesday evening.
The addition of Senator Franken makes 41 sponsors of the Employee Free Choice Act in the Senate, in addition to 227 in the House.
