Today we lost, to borrow the words of President Obama, "one of the most accomplished Americans ever to serve our democracy."

Senator Ted Kennedy devoted his career to improving the lives of workers and winning affordable healthcare for every American. His leadership and passion will be missed. But his legacy in this fight has only just begun.

The weeks ahead will still require our hard work and determination to see through his vision for health insurance reform.

Today, though, I hope you'll take a moment to reflect on Senator Kennedy's legacy and share your thoughts on his remarkable career. Click here to sign an online card to Senator Kennedy's family: http://action.seiu.org/tedkennedy
