SEIU Local 721 in southern California has launched a new website dedicated to exposing waste in government spending and improving the delivery of public services. The site is a part of the local's new Center for Public Accountability project, which also promotes protections for whistleblowers.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Local 721 calls for California's attorney general to investigate allegations that executives at the Tarzana Treatment Center may have diverted, or allowed the diversion of, up to $22 million in assets that could been used to help thousands of people overcome substance abuse, mental health issues, and HIV/AIDS.
