PHOTOS: Ken Lewis's "Turkey of the Year" award

Ousted BofA chief executive Ken Lewis made headlines this year for all the wrong reasons. After receiving tax breaks and more than $195 billion in bailouts, Bank of America announced layoffs for 35,000 employees over the next three years.

When BofA took over Merrill Lynch's four New York office locations, the bank fired Securitas and hired an irresponsible security contractor in its place. And then the layoffs began. Forty SEIU 32BJ security guards were fired right before the Thanksgiving holiday, and another 130 officers who still work there lost a sizable chunk of their healthcare benefits.

To recognize Ken Lewis for his role in allowing the bank's security contractor to treat workers so terribly right before the Thanksgiving holiday, the laid-off BofA guards presented him with a "Turkey of the Year" award yesterday. On a silver platter, no less. They were joined by clergy leaders and other SEIU 32BJ members and supporters. Check out a few photos:

Both McKallen and Gittens were recently laid off after they were informed Bank of America was changing security contractors.

We sure hope Ken Lewis enjoys his frozen turkey. Read our previous post on SEIU 32BJ's Turkey Day award to Lewis here.
