GOTV Tool: Be all that you can be for Martha Coakley

If you live in Massachusetts, I don't need to remind you how important it is to vote for Martha Coakley today. Political strategist Robert Creamer expresses our thoughts perfectly on the MA-Sen election.

Here's the bottom line: an enormous amount is at stake in Tuesday's election in Massachusetts to fill Senator Ted Kennedy's seat. So much is at stake that every Democrat -- and every independent who wants fundamental change in Washington -- has to vote, no matter how hard it is to get to the polls, no matter how inconvenient, no matter how disappointed you are with the pace of change in Washington.

TPM reports that turnout is higher than they expected in Boston, which is encouraging. But just voting is not enough. Too much is on the line to "just vote." We need you Massachusetts voters to get at least 10 people to join you. Use our tool to Get Out the Vote to help all your friends and family in MA find their polling place:

Today is our last chance to make a big difference in this election, and the outcome will affect people all across the country. Martha Coakley, a long-time proponent for workers' rights and strict enforcer of wage and hour laws, has a record of fighting to improve the lives of working families across the Commonwealth. Scott Brown, on the other hand, calls himself independent, but voted with Republican leadership 96% of the time. Brown has taken a stance on issues such as rape (he voted to make it more difficult for rape victims to get access to emergency contraceptives) and the new meager fee on the big banks (he opposes it).

Luckily, there is something each and every one of us can do about this race. Days, months, years from now, you'll want to look back on this and remember that you did everything you could possibly do to help change history. If you live in Massachusetts, use our tool to Get Out the Vote to help all your friends and family in MA find their polling place.

As Robert Creamer says, "Friends don't let friends not vote in the Massachusetts Senate race." So go ahead and turn your 1 vote into 11 votes. You can still help even if you don't live in Massachusetts--go to OFA's website and sign up to be part of a virtual phone bank. Polls are open for another five and a half hours.

Today, MA voters will pick Ted Kennedy's first elected successor--and that successor should be Martha Coakley. Let's make history by electing the first woman senator from Massachusetts.
