On Monday, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce blog highlighted a Friday luncheon featuring U.S. Chamber spokespersons, noting,
Amid a room filled with over 400 Flagstaff Chamber members, Carol Hallett of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Speaker of the House Kirk Adams and Arizona Chamber of Commerce President Glen Hamer delivered a message of hope and optimism to the city's influential entrepreneurs and business leaders.
So what was the message of the meeting? According to Hamer:
"[T]he news out of Washington recently had been "all bad," and that it was only because of the lobbying of various business groups that "the folks in D.C. could not destroy this great country."
Sounds a lot like the message coming from another gathering that took place this weekend in Nashville:
"Our way of life is under attack. I truly believe they are trying to destroy this country."
Apparently, these days it's becoming hard to tell the difference between a Tea Party convention and a Chamber meeting.
