What 14,000 Voices Strong Looks Like

UPDATE: Scroll down to check out SEIU Healthcare 775NW's new video.

SEIU Local 775_Petitiondelivery.jpgOn Monday, SEIU Healthcare 775NW home care workers delivered 14,000 petitions to legislative leaders and the WA state Governor's office--all in support of new revenue to avoid devastating cuts to long term care.

Home care workers Cathy Byrd, David Lindberg, Ivy Williams and Flash Scaff, Jr. delivered the signed petitions to lawmakers and spoke on behalf of the 14,0000 care providers who support raising revenue and preventing cuts to home care and other critical long-term care services. Since home care workers don't have a common workplace, the thousands of petitions were signed virtually online or over the phone. Pretty impressive.

For more information on who the members met with and updates on their efforts to save long term care, you can visit the SEIU Healthcare 775NW website here.
