The Clock is Ticking...Strike by 30,000 NYC Apartment Building Workers Could Begin At Midnight

The contract for 30,000 apartment building workers who keep New York's co-ops, condos and rental buildings safe and in good shape expires tonight...in less than six hours.

More than one million people throughout New York City could find their apartment buildings absent of the doormen, security guards, bellhops, concierges, supervisors and handymen whose services they rely on--and these aren't the only services they could be missing, come 12:01 a.m. tonight. Grocery delivery service FreshDirect has announced its grocery delivery drivers--members of UFCW Local 348S--will refuse to enter buildings whose doormen are on strike.

With time running out for the the building owners' association to negotiate a fair contract that would provide fair pay and maintain family healthcare and a secure pension, SEIU Local 32BJ members need you to stand with them.

Tell the Realty Advisory Board that you support fair pay, secure benefits and respect on the job for NYC apartment building workers.
