1199SEIU's "We Care for Haiti" team has launched a drive to collect essential items for the women of Haiti, in the spirit of Mothers' Day and sisters-to-sisters coming together.
Members are urged to bring items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, towels, lotion, slippers and deodorant to local 1199SEIU headquarters buildings in NY to be put together in Women Survival Kits. They will be shipped and delivered to the women in several areas of Port au Prince, the Haitian capital city.
