If you were a Governor looking to save money, why would you eliminate a program that helps save your state $1.1 billion a year? That's what SEIU members in the Virginia Association of Personal Care Assistants asked Governor Bob McDonnell at a Monday night forum sponsored by the Richmond Times Dispatch.
McDonnell's response to the PCAs? Well, let's just say he could learn a lot from members like Mary McFarland and Julia Newton about how home care is a solution to Virginia's budget crunch.
