This July 4th, Declare Your Independence from the U.S. Chamber

We've got the perfect way to start off your holiday weekend: Our friends over at US Chamber Watch are having some fun in a new video in which companies are "declaring their independence" from "King Tom" (Donohue) and the U.S. Chamber.

You may remember last fall when the Chamber endured a series of embarrassing headlines over member-companies as large and varied as Apple, Nike and Microsoft "declaring their independence" from the Chamber over its extremist positions on issues like climate change. Since then, the Chamber's continued to show their extremist colors, such as when Donohue recently told a roomful of reporters that he'd find a way to get taxpayers to pay for the BP oil spill clean-up.

Maybe that's why, as the video says, "Patriotic businesses have declared themselves free and dependent of the Chamber," and "The Chamber does not represent me."

Check it out here:

Then declare YOUR independence from the US Chamber.
