This Labor Day, it's time to get real about what it's going to take to restore fairness to our economy. We know that working people are facing the greatest economic crisis of our generation. It's time once again to unite our collective strength to bring justice and economic fairness back to our communities.
Read what SEIU members are committed to doing this Labor Day:
- California member Renee Lee says she is "committed to holding Bank of America and the rest of the Wall Street firms accountable for the economy they crashed, the budget crisis they caused and lives they've ruined."
- Healthcare Minnesota member Mark Freeman says he is "committed to restoring fairness to our economy."
- USWW member and Los Angeles janitor Zoila Sosa says she is "standing up for the workers everywhere who are losing their jobs."
- Local 26 member Keylá Kahl said she is "committed to fighting for public services that keep our communities safe and our children healthy."
- Connecticut SEIU Local 32BJ member Ciro Gutierrez said he is "committed to bringing workers out of the shadows, into the mainstream and helping to ensure that all workers - native and foreign born, alike - have a voice on the job."
- 1199WKO homecare aid Teresa Law said she is "committed to making sure that my politicians can hear my voice. Loud and clear."
