SEIU mail to voters: Joe Heck voted to deny women life-saving treatment

With only 5 days until the election, we need to make sure voters know the facts about the candidates they may be voting for. That's why we're out with a mail program in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District with mailers that show why politician Joe Heck would be a dangerous choice.

You see, when Joe Heck was in the state Senate, he voted against requiring insurance companies to cover a vaccine for cervical cancer. And if that's not bad enough, he said that women wouldn't need such life-saving HPV vaccine treatment if they didn't engage in risky behavior.

As the mailers note (see PDFs here and here), more than 12,000 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer this year. And that's why his opponent, Dina Titus, sponsored the HPV Vaccine Bill to require insurance companies to cover it. Dina Titus is on our side.

These mail pieces are 2 of a 7 mail-piece program in the district.
