PHOTOS: Wisconsin Rallies To Protect Workers' Rights To Organize #solidarity

AttackonWorkersRights_WI.jpgSEIU members in Wisconsin continue to unite with other union members, faith leaders, veterans, seniors, students, Wisconsin Senate Democrats, the Democratic National Committee, the President and even the Green Bay Packers to stop Governor Walker's attack on working families.

Since Tuesday, thousands of workers and their families have converged on the state capitol grounds, while lawmakers held a public hearing on the Governor's proposal to eliminate 50 years of collective bargaining for Wisconsin nurses, home care workers, teachers and other workers.

On Wednesday, students walked out of schools in support of their teachers and on Thursday, several school systems in Wisconsin cancelled classes. There continue to be actions across the state, with over 30,000 people rallying at the state capital on Thursday. Democratic Senators left the state to undisclosed locations and have said they will not return until the GOP takes its assault on union organizing rights for public employees "off the table."
