Five years ago, responsible business owners joined Houston janitors in creating good jobs and raising standards in the cleaning industry. Together with their employees, these companies negotiated a contract that created a path out of poverty for thousands of janitors and their families--including access to affordable health care.

But now Cameron Management--the company that owns 1001 McKinney Place in Houston--is trying to roll back that progress by hiring PJS, a cleaning contractor that pays janitors poverty wages and does not offer any benefits. On Thursday, March 31st when PJS takes over as the cleaning contractor, the janitors who currently work at 1001 McKinney will not only lose their union and their healthcare, they will lose their jobs.

You can stand with these janitors by sending an email to Cameron's CEO, telling him not to take good jobs away from Houston families.

Now more than ever, our city needs employers who are committed to creating and protecting good jobs--not cutting wages and benefits to pad corporate profits. Cameron Management is not only taking rights away from janitors, they are undermining the good jobs that Houston janitors and responsible employers have worked hard to create.

Tell Camerson's CEO not to take good jobs away from hardworking janitors.
