Have you thanked a nurse today? #default

20110506promo300-nurses-week.jpgNurses are incredible caregivers and dedicated professionals. It is their voices that speak out on behalf of patients and communities and save countless lives. It is also their voices that speak out on behalf of our nation to move us forward.

May 6 - 12 is National Nurses Week, and we can't think of a better time to celebrate the work, talent and commitment of SEIU nurses everywhere.

Will you take a minute to celebrate our country's caregivers for all they do by sending them a message of thanks?

In California, lawmakers will hold the first annual "Nurse Appreciation Day" this week, and we think they're on the right track. If, however, you live in one of the other 49 states, you can still show your personal appreciation this Nurses Week by submitting a message of thanks here:

We'll post your message of thanks on the SEIU Blog.

Have you seen the new Nurses page on SEIU.org?

Take a moment to check out our newly-updated Nurses Week page, which addresses the most critical issues facing nurses as leaders on the front lines of our healthcare system. You can find it at http://www.seiu.org/nurses.
