Yes, it's well past time to resuscitate Congress.
As the "supercommittee" reviews recommendations from Republican members that would harm the health of seniors, people with disabilities and children and cost America more good jobs, more than 400 SEIU nurses will fill the halls of Congress tomorrow with their voices and handwritten letters detailing how additional cuts to Medicaid and Medicare will harm patient care and cripple jobs.
SEIU RNs from more than 15 states will take to the hill early tomorrow morning to meet with their members of Congress. They'll break to call a "Code Blue" on Congress with a noon rally at the Republican National Committee headquarters. Nurses will march and deliver their recommendations to the congressional "supercommittee" and individual letters describing dangers of additional cuts to Medicaid and Medicare.
