Houstonians call on the "Dirty Thirty" to pay their fair share #default

A coalition of Houston activists gathered at City Hall today to call attention to several Houston-based corporations that pay less than their fair share of taxes. Two of these corporations made the Citizens for Tax Justice's "Dirty Thirty" list, a report detailing which corporations are reaping huge profits while receiving billions of dollars in tax refunds and subsidies.

The community group Good Jobs Great Houston and their coalition partners are confronting major Houston companies who spend more on lobbying than they do in taxes while the city struggles to make investments in education and infrastructure as part of today's national day of action.
