I support women's access to no-cost contraception. Do you? #the-healthcare-law

20120206email-FBShare-Contraception.jpg99% of women in the U.S. rely on contraception at some point in their lives. In August, the Affordable Care Act will require most health insurance plans to provide contraception at no cost to employees who use it. This is a historic victory for women's health.

But now women's healthcare is under attack. Some would even deny women access to this vital healthcare service. They are calling on the White House and Health and Human Services (HHS) to roll back this milestone.

Tell your friends and family to stand up to protect women's access to contraception and the healthcare law.

If these extremist voices succeed, Americans will lose the freedom to make personal health decisions about their families and their future with their doctor and care team.

In real terms, women will be forced to choose between their families' real needs and their healthcare. This would cost women and their families an average of $60 a month.
Do you have $60 to spare each month? Most of us don't.

Putting women's health ahead of politics is worth fighting for.

Tell your friends, family and co-workers on Facebook that women's access to no-cost birth control coverage is under attack.

All women, regardless of who they work for, should have access to birth control when they need it.

SEIU Nurses are speaking out in their communities and standing up for the freedom of women to make their personal health decisions with their families and physicians, not their employers. Read more about the important work RNs are doing to protect women's access to affordable contraception.
