SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania Member Takes Part in "Nurses for Obama" #the-healthcare-law

Nurses4Obama.jpgMichelle Boyle, a Pittsburgh nurse and member of SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania, joined Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Congresswoman Lois Capps (D-CA) on Wednesday to take part in the national launch of "Nurses for Obama."

This new initiative will unite the voices of nurses across the country to be advocates for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in their communities. President Obama knows nurses play an essential role in our healthcare system, and thanks to the ACA, nurses are gaining new resources and tools to help them help their patients.

Michelle works with post-surgery patients on the renal floor of Allegheny General and had this about to say about the law:

"I am a nurse and a patriot. Before health care reform, we had a true emergency in healthcare. If you care about your fellow citizens why wouldn't you want them to have healthcare. We should all look after each other."
