To celebrate the enormous contributions of Asian Pacific Americans in our communities and workplaces, SEIU, the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) and Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) are holding a lunchtime event on Tuesday, May 22 that will include a panel discussion featuring Asian Americans from the 99%.
The event will kick off at noon with a Korean drum and dance performance by the Asian American Arts Center of Washington, DC, followed by a traditional Filipino lunch. Then retirees, students, teachers, organizers and social justice activists from the Asian diaspora will hold a panel discussion on Asian Pacific Americans' struggle in the fight for an economy that works for all.
If you live in the DC area and would like to attend this May 22nd event, please send us an email. Download the event flier with more details here.
