We are nurses, homecare workers, doctors, nursing home staffers, hospital workers, nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, housekeepers, dietary workers, and many more. We are dedicated to our jobs and the people we serve.
This is why at the 2012 SEIU Convention, on Healthcare Union Day, we will be celebrating none other than us!
We want to let folks know who we are, what we do and why we do it ... Thousands of us will be in Denver May 28th - 30th attending the Convention to do just that and many of our sisters and brothers not able to be with us in person will be linked arm in arm with everyone of us in spirit.
In an effort to share a little about who we are with the rest of our great union, we took part in the I AM SEIU Healthcare project. We answered a few key questions about who we are, what we do, some of us shared something about the people we serve. You will see that as you learn more and more about the Union's Healthcare members, a common thread runs through each and everyone of us: we care.
We care about the work we do, the people we do it for, each other, and of course our families and friends. We care and take pride in being SEIU Healthcare.
We cannot wait to meet all our sisters and brothers from the Healthcare Division and the rest of our union.
