WASHINGTON--In response to reports that House Republicans next week will introduce legislation aimed at undoing the effects of several years of administrative action by the president on immigration, SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry issued the following statement:
It took Republicans less than a week to show their true colors. Not satisfied with 'self-deportation,' the GOP's 'deport-them-all' strategy to decimate families is as deeply immoral as it is impractical. It looks like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are going to take their marching orders from the far-right extremists in their party and turn a deaf ear to immigrant families and all working families. We'll remember come 2016."
