Digital Wellness Nurse Week V8 01

Here's a Digital First Aid Kit, with links to free apps, trials and guides for nurses and healthcare workers to help cope during this time of crisis.

Calm Meditation App

This app is a great beginner’s introduction to mediation and mindfulness. Sessions are tailored depending on your goals (e.g., reducing stress, better sleep, reducing anxiety) and last between 2 to 35 minutes. Great for nurses who can only find short windows of time during the day.

Les Mills Workouts on Demand

This subscription-based workout program is a great way of keeping active during social distancing. Les Mills offers a number of workouts you can stream If you had a gym membership prior to the pandemic, you could sign up at a discounted rate.

NYT on Coping with Anxiety

Based on Dr. Harriet Lerner’s best-selling book, “The Dance With Fear,” this New York Times article goes through 10 ways of easing anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. One great reminder: Don’t be afraid to ask for help — something we can easily forget when stress levels are high.

Stop, Breathe & Think App

Another guided meditation app, Stop, Breathe & Think helps build a habit of meditation with emotional checks-ins and a progress tracker. The app even offers a version for children so your family can join in.

Down Dog Yoga App

This yoga app is currently free until the month of July for healthcare workers. It includes yoga for beginners, HIIT workouts, and short seven-minute workouts. Down Dog Yoga is a great way to keep up your regular exercise routine and maintain overall mental health during social distancing and work.
