Hi, I'm Karla, and I'm 9 years old. I need my grandmother and parents to stay with me in the U.S., where I was born.

My grandmother is from Honduras, but she has lived here for 27 years.

I went to Washington, DC with her last summer to ask leaders to keep my family here, together, and to protect other people like her.

That’s why I want President Biden to expand Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Nepal and to grant TPS to Guatemala and other countries that aren't safe for people in the U.S. to go back to.

When my school closed because of the pandemic, my grandmother, a 32BJ SEIU member, continued her work cleaning office buildings in the DC area. She works hard, but she still finds time to play hide-and-seek with me.

A lot of kids like me need TPS expanded to stay safe and together with their families.

Please share my story to help us get our message to President Biden. Thank you.
