Our panel will focus on the importance of centering Black women in US politics and policymaking to build equitable institutions, strengthen collective prosperity, transform systems, create pathways for Black women’s economic security, and build an infrastructure that better supports caregivers. Black women remain under-compensated – the value of their work and labor is captured by white, wealthy, and private interests. Thus investing in Black women in the workforce is a must-have for a growing economy and middle class.
