Assistant Director of Communications for Politics, Annual Salary $120,449
Directs and provides overall leadership to all SEIU political communications and media work to support priorities for growth and improving working families’ lives and communities, to involve members and the public in achieving those goals, to run campaigns that help elect pro-union leaders to office, and to brand SEIU as the national union on key political issues.
Senior Digital Communications Manager, Annual Salary $107,543
SEIU’s National Organizing Department and the Fight for $15 and a union drives the central mission of our union to win for working people on the job, in our communities, and in our economy and democracy. This position manages SEIU organizing department’s digital communications operations and staff to promote the union’s narrative and organizing work, to further campaign objectives, and to expand SEIU’s online audiences and presence. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Organizing.

Supervises, manages, and provides overall leadership and direction to all SEIU national media relations efforts to propel coverage and awareness of issue priorities and initiatives involving members and the public and to grow and evolve SEIU’s public profile as the union working to improve the lives of all working families.

This is a senior-level position within SEIU communications and is responsible for the development and implementation of both state-based and national communications plans for public services campaigns and initiatives to win Relief, Recovery and Re-imagine public services. This is an exciting role requiring a communicator experienced in movement building, state-level advocacy around budgets or fair tax campaigns. This person will be responsible for developing strategy with multi-disciplinary teams and candidates should really enjoy and excel in working in teams on a variety of strategies including organizing, political action and federal and state advocacy.

Communication Specialist III—Public Affairs, SEIU Local 2015, Salary Raange $55,000 – $65,000
Based in Los Angeles California, SEIU Local 2015 in California is looking for a seasoned Communications Specialist to support strategic campaigns. This person’s strong writing skills, media savvy, and ability to weave the broader work of the Union into a compelling “join us!” campaign will help us build power. Our members—mostly women of color—have and continue to fight on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as they care for our elderly, disabled and infirm. This position will weave together bargaining, legislative and organizing priorities into dynamic campaigns that include member communications, social media and press. The Campaign Specialist will be responsible for working closely with the field, organizing and policy departments in the local to ensure that workers learn of all important victories—and understand that they’re won through the Union’s strength in numbers.
